Developing our partner relationships
Soko Rafiki has entered into direct purchasing arrangements with artisans in an effort to reduce costs associated with middleman purchases and, most importantly, to insure fair wages for the artisans. Partner relationships are developed through direct contact with the artisan group and arrangements are designed to be completely fair and equitable for all parties.
New artisans are periodically added to our market in an effort to provide a diverse offering of goods. Additionally, Soko Rafiki strives to broaden our purchasing market as we discover new cooperative groups in East Africa doing good work for a greater community good.
Soko Rafiki works with a number of partners of Global Alliance for Africa and in some cases requests that Global Alliance provide capacity building consultation to the groups from which Soko Rafiki purchases goods.
